Rosemount Irish Football Team
This weeks High School Athlete of the Week award goes to the Rosemount Irish football team. The Irish finished the regular season with a record of 7-1 overall and a perfect 7-0 in the conference to earn them a tie in the conference with the number one team in the state, Eden Prairie. It is the first title conference for the Irish since 1993, when the Lake conference was made. The Irish play Burnsville tonight in the first round of the playoffs. Rosemount’s only loss this year came in a non-conference game at power-house Hopkins. Congratulations to this week’s High School Athletes of the Week, the Rosemount Irish football team!

High School Athlete of the Week

WCCO Radio and Mainstreet Bank are proud to announce the Mainstreet Bank High School Athlete of the Week!

If you know a high school athlete who deserves recognition for his/her accomplishments and to be featured on The Mike Max Show (weekdays 7-9:30pm) make your nomination every week between noon Friday and 6 p.m. Monday.

Completely fill out the official nomination form below; then listen to WCCO Radio every Thursday between 8:30-9pm for the weekly winner!

We’ll also feature the weekly winning athlete right here on 830WCCO.com!

The winner will also be awarded with a commemorative certificate.

Mainstreet Bank High School Athlete of the Week, a feature that recognizes top accomplishments by High School athletes for the 2007-08 school year. Every week we will accept e-mail nominations from the public; from those nominations, we'll pick one High School athlete based on their performance in the previous week (from Monday through Sunday). Then we'll post the winning athlete on the Web site and they will be featured on The Mike Max Show the following week on Thursday night between 8:30-9pm. Click here for Rules
