Health Officials Hope H1N1 Has Peaked

State health officials are cautiously optimistic the H1N1 flu pandemic has peaked in Minnesota. One sign is a drop in school outbreaks from 288 in the middle of October to 137 schools in the final week of the month. And the number of people hospitalized with the flu fell to 182 patients last week, compared to 225 the week before. Yesterday the health department reported three more deaths from H1N1, bringing to 15 the number of people who have died from the flu in Minnesota. All of the recent victims had underlying health conditions.
