It's election day in Minnesota where nearly 1/2 million voters are expected to cast ballots today for municipal offices, school boards and school levies.  Cities holding mayoral elections include Minneapolis, St. Paul, Moorhead, St. Peter and White Bear Lake.  Nearly 60 school districts are asking voters for extra local property tax money to supplement state and federal aid. Some have more than one levy request.  Minneapolis is using its new ranked choice system of balloting for the first time today.
