Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty says he won't be in Dayton, Ohio, when Republican John McCain announces his running mate at a rally today. This morning, Pawlenty told WCCO-AM during his weekly call-in that he plans to be at the Minnesota State Fair today. When asked if his plans meant he hadn't been chosen, Pawlenty said quote - "I'm going to be at the State fair, I will not be in Dayton, Ohio, so that' a fair assumption.'' Pawlenty had been named along with former Massachussetts Governor Mitt Romney and Independent Senator Joe Lieberman as possible VP choices. The McCain campaign has not said who the Arizona senator has picked. A rally is scheduled for 11 a.m. in Dayton. Several media outlets are reporting that Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will get the nod.
