A fatal shooting this afternoon in St. Louis Park. A woman was shot in the parking lot of the Shalom Home Assisted Living Facility. Jamie Zwilling is public information officer for the City of St. Louis Park. He says a police officer was at the Shalom Home for a meeting at the time of the shooting, which occurred about three o'clockThe officer came out to find the woman shot in her car.
Zwilling says a man was arrested in the parking lot in connection with that shooting. He is in custody, but at this point the circumstances that led to the shooting are unknown. No one else was injured, and Zwilling says the scene has been secured and there is no danger to residents at the facility. The victim's name has not been released.
