Soldier from North St. Paul Killed in Iraq

A Minnesota soldier has been killed in Iraq. His mother says 21-year old Gregory Rundell of North St. Paul was killed Wednesday by small arms fire while manning a guard tower in Taji, Iraq. Rundell's death was announced tonight by his mother, Joann Richardson. She says her son was an Army Specialist, and had been in Iraq for about three months. Rundell is the 70th person with strong Minnesota ties to have died in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.
