Minnetonka businessman Tom Petters has pleaded not guilty to all criminal charges against him related to an alleged multi-billion dollar fraud case. During a brief appearance in federal court in St. Paul this afternoon, Petters entered not guilty pleas through his attorney to all charges, including fraud and conspiracy. Petters, who remains in custody because a judge deemed him to be a flight risk, is alleged to have defrauded customers out of an estimated three billion dollars through a massive Ponzi-type scheme. A trial date has been set for February 9, 2009.
