Tim O'Keefe

This week’s High School Athlete of the Week is Tim O’Keefe of the De La Salle High School Islanders. As a pitcher, Tim has had an outstanding year on the mound this year with 59 strikeouts and an ERA just over 3. Opposing batters are only hitting .199 off O’Keefe. Tim also has won five games and has saved six games for the Islanders on the mound. Tim has fared very well at the plate with a batting average of .452; he has 14 RBI’s and one homerun this season. Tim continues to improve every game, and has a strong arm to go with his great offensive skills. Congratulations Tim O’Keefe on being this week’s high school athlete of the week.

Every week we will accept e-mail nominations from the public; from those nominations, we'll pick one High School athlete based on their performance in the previous week (from Monday through Sunday).
