450 Million Dollar Wind Farm Proposed Near Moorhead

A 450 million dollar wind farm with 134 turbines is planned east of Moorhead in Clay County, Minnesota within the next couple of years. Noble Flat Hill Windpark would cover a 36 square mile area and produce 201 megawatts of electricity. The company has submitted an application to the state Public Utilities Commission for a transmission line. Another company is planning to erect 20 to 30 wind turbines in eastern Clay County.
